A new website has been formed to showcase the beauty of Golf and I am proud to be a part of it.
Art of Golf is dedicated to promoting golf art and the artists who specialize in golf art. This site is a central repository designed to help potential buyers find artwork inspired by the wonderful game of golf.
When I was contacted to be listed on this website I was excited - there are many different artists listed with a wide array of mediums and styles. Please visit the site as often as possible as the number of artists is sure to grow! I will be adding a link to this site on my homepage very soon.

I've Moved!
I have recently accepted a position with the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks as an Information Officer with the Division of Wildlife. I am excited for the new opportunity and am starting to settle in to my new home in Pierre. I have been a bit busy with the move, but have managed to finish a couple of new paintings and have several more in progress. I will try to post them soon.

NEW GOLF PAINTING
As I am nearing the completion of "Guts-n-Glory", I am also nearing that time of year when deadlines are hanging over me. One painting that I do every year is for the Justin Jewett Scholorship Foundation in my hometown of Flandreau, SD. The foundation hosts the annual Marvi-Gras Golf Tournament the first weekend in June and they auction off the original painting as well as prints made from this piece. This year will be hole #5, a short part 3 with bunkers guarding the front on both sides. Here is the reference photo that I decided to go with... it is actually 2 photos that have been seemed to together to make one, and a picture of the painting after 2 nights worth of work.

GETTIN CLOSE
Just another quick update on "Guts-n-Glory"... The main buck is getting close, really just need to finish the foreground and then go through the entire painting and do some touch up work and detailing. Its now been close to 1 yr in the progress on this piece. I really hope the next time I post a picture it will be the final product!

LITTLE MORE ON DUCK STAMP ENTRY
I was able to put a couple more hours into my duck stamp entry, the hen and reeds are pretty much done. I will spend a few hours on the drake, its reflection in the water and add some floating moss to the foreground! Picture quality is not very good, I will get a higher resolution image up when I am done.

DUCK STAMP ENTRY
I have only entered one state sponsored duck stamp since winning the Nevada competition in 2005 - so I've decided to enter another duck stamp... . This is a picture of it after about 5 hours of work. Should be able to finish in a little less than a week. It is a pair of Wood Ducks - which are my favorite to paint!
